Explosion nails!

Hi there (:
So today we have done a STEP-BY-STEP tutorial for our explosion nails.
"The Curly One" painted "The Blonde One"s nails :L

You will need:
(Note: colours can be changed)

1. Firstly, apply a base coat to protect your natural nails -

2. Apply two coats of your chosen base colour. Ours is 'Raspberry' by Barry M.

3. Draw a straight line using a nail art striper or thin brush getting thinner at one end (we used 'Silver' by Barry M)

4. Add three more spikes and fill in. Paint twice for a more opaque finish.

5. Finally, outline the silver spikes with a different colour (we used 'Navy' by Barry M)

6. Finish with a top coat and TA DAAA! All done :)

Poker face card nails

It's 'the curly one' this time.. Emma :D
Right first of all apologies for the mess around the edge of my nails I forgot to clean up haha.
Steps for perfect casino nails:
1. Paint each finger nail with a clear base coat (prevents any staining on the nail)
2. Paint each finger nail with two coats of white nail polish (I used Barry M)
3. Leave to dry for 15 mins
4. Using a red striper brush, outline a diamond shape on your thumb
5. Once satisfied, carefully fill in the shape
6. Continuing with the red striper, on the second finger outline a heart shape on the second finger
7. Carefully fill in the heart
8. Again, using the red striper, outline the shape of a club on your pinky finger
9. Neatly fill in
10. Using the black striper, outline the shape of a spade on the first finger and fill in neatly
11. On the third finger, outline the shape of a diamond again in black and fill in carefully
12. Once all the nails are dry, it's gem time!
13. Using a cocktail stick, dip it into a clear nail varnish and pick up a clear gem and place in the middle of the diamond on the thumb.
14. Repeat on the other diamond.
15. Finally, apply a clear top coat and you're done! :)

Vegan :D

I would just like to post that, incase you ever wonder what nail polishes I use, they are ALL Barry M! These polishes are what I use and no others :L This is because they are cruelty free and Vegan! <3 Love "The Blonde One" x

The Pacman nails, Pinky, Inky, Blinky and Clyde :)

Again, "The Blonde One" here :)

These are my pacman nails :

The blue one does have an eye, the light was in it :L

Here's how to do them:

  1. Apply a basecoat.
  2. Paint your thumb black, and your other nails orange, red, bluey-green and pink.
  3. Over this, paint a white tip on the tops of your nails, this doesn't have to be neat.
  4. Over this tip, use your nail polish brush itself, a nail art pen or a large dotting tool, do the wiggly legs as long and thin blobs - see the picture for help.
  5. With your largest dotting tool join two white blobs close together to make a kind of oval for the eyes, do two on each nail - obviously as pacman ghosts are not cyclopses.
  6. Over this with a blue (the ghosts have blue pupils), use the small dotting tool and apply a dot over the white ones.
  7. You're done now for the ghosts!
  8. For pacman himself, on your thumb, with a yellow striper, pen or being careful wit hthe regular nail polish brush (i did)  draw the basic shape of pacman - it is easy to start with the mouth triangle. Then fill it in with your yellow, you may need to go over the edges with the black for a sharper finish.
  9. Finally, apply a black blob for the eye using your large dotting tool
  10. You're finished!!! Just remember the topcoat!!!
Hope you found it easy and that you try it out, if you do, please show me <3

First tutorial :)

"The Blonde One" here...
Sooooo, I have a stash of old nail art images and am going to share them. Here goes with the first one.......

Hope you like them, and here is how to do them (as best as I can explain them) :)

  1. Paint a base coat to protect your natural nails.
  2. Paint your whole nail in a chosen colour, I chose pink :)
  3. Paint a curved half section of your nail in another colour, mine was orangey.
  4. Follow along the line with a thin striper brush in black, and at the base of the line nearest your knuckle, paint three flicks kind of upwards.
  5. Go along this line again next to the black with another colour - glitter looks better and as you can see I chose blue. You can do this with a striper or carefully use the normal nail polish brush, I did.
  6. Finally with a dotting tool, cocktail stick or end of a bobbypin, apply five or so black dots behind the glitter line, and four or so black dots from the top from the top of the line outwards. Look at the picture for help :)
  7. Lastly, apply white dots with the same tool you just used for the black, and create semi-circles from the edge if your nail inwards on both colour halves of your nail. Do the dots on the side of the flicks higher.
  8. Apply a thick layer of topcoat, paying attention to the tips of your nails!

That was much harder to explain than I first thought! How did I do??? If you were completely stuck try follow from the picture and good luck! x
